According to IDC, ICT Outsourcing in Asia is expected to increase up to US$39.2 billion in 2012, with a five-year (2007 – 2012) compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 9%. This year, the market is expected to exceed US$29.5 billion, an 11% increase over 2007.
In addition, NECTEC said the market volume of computer services industry is expected to exceed Bt 26,624 million, an 26.9% increase over 2007.
“Thailand has higher potential to provide outsourcing service than Vietnam, especially in terms of IT knowledge/skills and facilities which better than Vietnam. However, in long term, it’s necessary that the government should invest in broadband and education which has one standard across the country,” said Mr. Royle.
Mr. Narin Limsamphanchareon, New General Manager of Hyro Consulting (Thailand) added the company achieved Bt 56 million for the first half of this year. In 2007, the company’s revenue was decreased to Bt 83 million due to uncertain political situation.
